These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of capconnectmedia.com (the "Site"), our forms and booking calendar, our text-message program, and your participation as a guest on the CONNECT Podcast with Mel Capers (the "Podcast"). The Site and Podcast are operated by Capers Consulting, LLC, d/b/a Capstone Alliance Partnership Group as CONNECT Media ("CONNECT Media," "we," "us"). By using the Site, submitting a form, or appearing as a guest, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to submit our forms, book a recording, appear as a guest, or join our text-message program.
2. Using the Site
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes. You will not:
submit false, misleading or someone else's information;
interfere with the Site's security or operation, or try to access it in unauthorized ways;
use automated tools to scrape or collect information from the Site; or
upload or send anything unlawful, harmful, or that infringes someone else's rights.
3. Text-message program (CONNECT Media Guest Updates)
What you'll receive: non-marketing text messages about being a guest on the Podcast, such as scheduling, recording reminders, prep information, and episode review and release updates.
How you join: by checking the consent box on our forms and providing your mobile number.
Consent is optional and is not a condition of appearing on the Podcast.Frequency: message frequency varies.
Cost: message and data rates may apply.
Opt out: reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages. You will receive one final message confirming your opt-out.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy: mobile information and text-message opt-in data are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy.
4. Being a guest on the Podcast
Recording. Recordings last about 60 minutes and are edited into an episode of about 30 minutes. Recordings may include audio and video.
Your approval. Before we publish your episode, we send you a private link to review it. You may ask for corrections, and we schedule publication only after you approve. We may decide not to publish any recording.
Permission to publish. When you approve your episode, you give CONNECT Media a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, and perpetual license to edit, publish, distribute, and promote the episode and short excerpts from it, in any format and on any platform, along with your name, likeness, voice, title, and the bio you provided. You keep ownership of your own stories, ideas, and materials.
Sharing your episode. You may share the published episode and its links freely with your own audience. Please link to the episode rather than re-uploading it.
Your content. You are responsible for what you say and share. You agree that it is truthful as you understand it, that you have the right to share it, and that it does not defame anyone, reveal others' private information, or infringe anyone's rights. CONNECT Media is a family-friendly, nonpolitical platform. We may edit out content that does not meet these standards.
No payment. Guests are not paid for appearing, and guests do not pay to appear, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Separate agreements. If you sign a separate guest release or agreement with us, that agreement controls where it differs from these Terms.
5. Our content and trademarks
The Site, the Podcast and their content, including text, graphics, audio, video, logos and the CONNECT name and marks, belong to CONNECT Media or its licensors and are protected by law. You may listen to, view and share links to our content for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, republish, sell or create derivative works from it without our written permission.
6. Views and information on the Podcast
Guests' views are their own and do not necessarily reflect the views of CONNECT Media or Mel Capers. Content on the Site and Podcast is for general information and inspiration. It is not legal, financial, medical or other professional advice.
7. Third-party links and services
The Site links to and embeds third-party services, including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube and our booking calendar. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices.
8. Disclaimers
The Site and Podcast are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any episode will be published, reach a particular audience, or produce particular results.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, CONNECT Media and its owners, team and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site, our text messages, or your participation in the Podcast. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100).
10. Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold harmless CONNECT Media and its owners, team, and contractors from claims, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your breach of these Terms or from content you provide.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Maryland, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. By continuing to use the Site after changes are posted means you accept them.
